Lamont at Grant Westfield

GRANT Westfield is a specialist in the provision of washrooms for a variety of settings:
healthcare, education, commercial premises, transport (eg airports) and hotel & leisure. The company also specialises in laboratories, wall panel systems and is the manufacturer of multiPANEL, a market leading shower panelling. With a history stretching back to 1881, this Edinburgh-based company has weathered the recession better than most, expanding by 15-20% per year for the past five years. When the company’s Speediweld broke down and needed replacing, works/production director, PaulMcKenzie, commissioned a new gluesetter from Alan Lamont, the only company that was recommended to him. Mr McKenzie finds a gluesetter brings significant production advantages: “It speeds up the whole process of gluing. If you put material in a clamp without using a gluesetter, it will take hours to set; with a glue setter, it will take minutes.” The Lamont gluesetter is mainly used for commercial work rather than residential, and the joints produced can more than meet the strength and durability required. Mr McKenzie is very impressed with the level of service Alan Lamont provides. “I haven’t known Alan for very long, but when he initially came up here a few months ago, he was very positive. When we needed a gluesetter to do a rush job and the new one was not yet available, he went out of his way to lend us a reconditioned one; and when the new one was available, again he went out of his way to get it to us as soon as possible.” He was also impressed by the price, which was sufficiently competitive for him not to seek any other quotes. Mr McKenzie says he would be very happy to recommend the machine and the company to others.
